Shenandoah 51, Corning 48

SHENANDOAH — Corning senior Ella Akin netted 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field, but Shenandoah outscored the Red Raiders by three points in the fourth quarter to take advantage of a tie ballgame after three quarters, winning 51-48.

“We played a nice game against them, however we seemed timid and hesitant at times,” Corning co-head coach Sandy Winter said. “As we gain experience, we will see the hesitation dissolve. This just takes time.”
