The secretary report was read and approved.

Roll call was answered with “your favorite Christmas memory.”

There was a book exchange for Christmas.

The members shared Christmas literature.

There will be no January meeting. The next meeting will be Feb. 4. Barb Thomsen will be hostess and Carolyn Hubatka will have the program.

Kiwanis

The weekly Kiwanis meeting was held 12:05 p.m. Tuesday at The Windrow with 22 members and three guests. Brad Lorenzen, president, presided. Karen Norton gave the prayer, and Mike Linch was finemaster.

The program was Annette and Rick Rice who told about their trip to Patagonia, South America, and presented a slide show of the nature, architecture and people.

TOPS 1338

TOPS 1338 met 5:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at First United Methodist Church. Seven members weighed in. Best loser of the week was Alice Brown and the runner-up was an anonymous member. The best loser for the month was Shellie Sullivan and runner-up was Marisue Lewis.

Squares was won by Lola Baucom and fines went to Anna Thompson.

The Red Can Challenge is to eat leafy green vegetables.

The meeting closed with the TOPS pledge.

TOPS 1338 met Monday at the Methodist Church with nine members answering roll call. Best loser for the week was Monica Belew, and Lola Baucom was runner-up.

Diana Loomis presided over the business meeting which opened with the TOPS pledge.

Minutes were read from the previous meeting by the secretary.

Squares was won by Baucom and fines went to the treasurery.

The Red Can Challenge is to “Smile all day tomorrow. It will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.”

Jane King read a humorous article, “Dealing with Public Restrooms.”

Carol Sheldahl is to have the program for next week.

The meeting adjourned with the rectitation of the TOPS closing pledge.

Bancroft History Assembly

Bancroft History Assembly of Creston met Monday at the D.V. Richardson Room at Greater Regional Medical Center. Twelve regular members and four lifetime members were present. The meeting was called to order by Peg Anderson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
