“We lost some of our momentum we’d built up from our previous practices and game,” Corning head coach Pete Nett said. “Mount Ayr really did a nice job of overplaying some of the passing lanes that we use to run some of our sets, and we simply didn’t adjust to that style of play.”

Mount Ayr hosts East Union tonight, while Corning hosts Bedford.

ORIENT — Grand View used a 22-5 first quarter advantage to roll to an 80-16 win over Orient-Macksburg here on Friday.

Chantz Davidson led the way for the Bulldogs with 12 points and eight rebounds, while James Sullivan and Jacob Caviness each scored two points.

Orient-Macksburg, now 0-2, travels to Paton-Churdan tonight.
