Diagonal 63, Mormon Trail 47

GARDEN GROVE — Diagonal bounced back from back-to-back losses with a 63-47 win over Mormon Trail here Tuesday, improving to 3-2 for the season.

Heath Evans led the Maroons with 16 points, while freshman Jacob Taylor added 14 points. Blake Butler poured in 13 for Diagonal.

Shad Haidsiak chipped in eight points, while Levi Jarred and Ryan Parrot each scored five. Kenneth Weaselhead scored two points.

Paton-Churdan 49, Orient-Macks. 26

CHURDAN — A slow start doomed Orient-Macksburg here on Tuesday, as the Bulldogs fell to Paton-Churdan 49-26.

Jacob Caviness led the Bulldogs with nine points, while Jordan Thompson added eight. Wyatt Hensley contributed five points as Jesse Johnson and Logan Holste each scored two points.

James Sullivan grabbed eight rebounds for Orient-Macksburg and Thompson led the team with two assists.
