Want your Casey's pizza delivered?
That will soon be an option for Creston customers. Jodi Steffen, manager of Casey's North, said Sunday her store at 403 E. Townline St., will soon be offering pizza delivery.
"Many of our customers have expressed wanting delivery," Steffen said, "especially our regulars who think Casey's pizza is the best pizza around."
Steffen said on a busy night the kitchen at Casey's North does about 80 pizza orders, but she believes adding delivery will really increase business.
"We may double or triple our business by adding delivery," Steffen said. "I think part of it is our location, but I also think it's our staff. We have very good kitchen managers and staff who make the very best pizza for our customers."
Casey's North has made several additions to their store over the past five years. Last year, they added a submarine sandwich station, walk-in beer cooler and soft-serve ice cream for their customers.
Now, Steffen said there are rumors Casey's North will go 24 hours.
Casey's East — located just north of Walmart — made the transition to 24 hours in October. They are now offering hot pizza in the warmer 24 hours with breakfast pizza appearing about 4 a.m. Also, a kitchen employee is at Casey's East at all times and is "more than willing” to make special-order sandwiches or other menu items.
"There have been talks that we may go 24 hours at Casey's North," Steffen said, "but nothing has been confirmed yet. I think eventually we will be 24 hours, but there is no time frame for that. I think corporate wants to wait and see how Casey's East does first."
Creston now has six Casey's General Stores as the company bought out both Kum & Go locations in September. Three of the Casey's General Stores are located along Taylor Street (Highway 34), one is located on Elm Street, another on Sumner Avenue, and Casey's North is located on Townline Street.
