DES MOINES — Crystal Gibbens of Creston has been named to the honor roll at AIB College of Business for the 2012 fall term.
To qualify for the honor roll, Gibbens attained a grade-point average of 3.0 to 3.49 for the term.
Gibbens is earning an Associate in Applied Science degree in business administration and leadership.

Clarkson College
OMAHA, Neb. — Kayla Petersen received a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree Dec. 8 from Clarkson College in Omaha, Neb.
Petersen is the daughter of Deanna and Troy Petersen of Creston. She was named to the dean’s list.

Southern College of Optometry
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Samuel Johnson of Creston was recently honored with the Dr. John A. Gazaway Memorial Scholarship at Southern College of Optometry. The award comes with a $1,000 monetary award.
Johnson is the son of Paul and Ann Johnson, also of Creston. He is a graduate of Creston High School and Iowa State University.
Each year, Southern College of Optometry recognizes its most outstanding students at a convocation ceremony in the fall semester. This year, 80 students were honored with awards and scholarships worth nearly $100,000 for the 2013 school year.
