Nathan Monter, of Waterloo, and Katie Deranleau, of State Center, were married May 26, 2012, at Vesper Point, Pilgrim Heights Camp and Retreat Center in Montour.
The groom is the son of Marc and Roberta Monter of Waterloo. The bride is the daughter of Bob and Shonda Deranleau of Creston.
Maid of honor was Jessica Deranleau, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Paugh, Monica McCarney, sister of the groom, Sarah Ehlers, future sister-in-law of the couple, and Leisha Colyn.
Best man was Brandon Schellhorn.
Groomsmen were Cody Monter, brother of the groom, Kory Digman, William Deranleau, brother of the bride, and Jered Engle.
Flower presenters were Kendal Tyler, niece of the couple, and Keegan McCarney, Dominyk Klever, and Nehemiah Klever, nephews of the couple.
Ushers were Myles Urban, cousin of the bride, and Luke Baker.
A reception was held at the Four Seasons Lodge, Pilgrim Heights Camp and Retreat Center in Montour.
The bride is a graduate of Creston High School and University of Northern Iowa. She is employed as a teacher for the visually impaired with Iowa Braille and Sightsaving School, Heartland AEA Office, Johnston and Ames.
The groom is a graduate of Waterloo East High School and Hawkeye Community College. He is employed as a police officer for Evansdale Police Department in Evansdale and fire safety inspector at John Deere in Waterloo.
The couple reside in State Center.
