No citations were issued after a car accident 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 169.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, James Hensley, 57, of Mount Ayr, was driving a 2009 Dodge north on Highway 169 when he entered a ditch. Upon entering the ditch, Hensley lost control of his vehicle causing the vehicle to stop on its side.

Damage estimate is $10,000.

No citations were issued after a car accident 6 a.m. Thursday on Highway 34.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Nicholas Anthony Magnani of Osceola parked his 2011 Chevrolet on the side of Highway 169 after the vehicle had spun out. As Magnani was sitting in his vehicle, and unknown vehicle struck Magnani’s vehicle in the right rear corner and side.

Damage estimate to Magnani’s vehicle is $2,500.

No citations were issued after a car accident 6:12 p.m. Thursday on Osage Street.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Danny Chris Neisemier, 59, of Thayer, was driving a Peterbilt tractor owned by Cabbage Brothers of New Market, with an attached trailer owned by Farmers Cooperative in Afton, north on Osage Street when the trailer detached from the tractor.

Damage estimates are $10,000 to the tractor and $20,000 to the trailer.
