Harry ‘Casey’ Huddleson Bremen, Ala.

Harry “Casey” Huddleson, 65, of Bremen, Ala., formerly of the Zion area, died Jan. 3, 2013, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston. The Rev. Joel Sutton will officiate. Burial will be in Hill of Zion Cemetery northeast of Creston. Visitation with family present will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Super 8 conference center in Creston. Another visitation with family present will be noon to 2:00 p.m. service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Harry “Casey” Gene Huddleson, son of Mildred Lucille (Bowerbank) and Ernest Henry Huddleson, was born Jan. 27, 1947, in Adair County.

He went to school at Zion until they reorganized, then went to Orient Community School. Casey was raised in the Zion area.

On Sept. 4, 1977, Casey married Donna Mae Case in Prescott.

After marriage, they settled and farmed in the Zion area.

In 1994, they moved to Alabama, where he worked as a laborer building trusses.

Later, Casey worked as a groundskeeper at a golf course and then as a laborer for Hired Hand until his health failed him.

Casey was a 4-H leader for many years.

Casey was a member of the Hill of Zion Church.

Casey is survived by his wife Donna Mae Case Huddleson of Bremen, Ala.; father Ernest Huddleson of Bremen, Ala.; daughters, Dawn Michelle Halbrook (fiancé Kevin Stephens) and Amy Nichole (husband Kim) Rollo, all of Bremen, Ala.; son Douglas Gene Huddleson of Bremen, Ala.; sisters, Dixie Shinkle (husband John) of Orient and Roxann Huddleson of Santa Anna, Calif.; brothers, Charles Huddleson (wife Monica) of Orient and Ernest “Cork” Huddleson Jr. of Bremen, Ala.; grandchildren, Cruz and Billy Halbrook, Hailee Steadman and Jonathan and Justin Rollo, all of Bremen, Ala.; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Casey was preceded in death by his mother; sister Shirley Huddleson; brother James Huddleson; and son-in-law Lee Halbrook.
