Coach Scott honored at Mt. Ayr event

MOUNT AYR — Harlan went 8-0 to win the team title at the 2013 Ron Scott Memorial Dual Tournament last weekend.

The former Mount Ayr Duals was renamed in a ceremony including family members and former wrestlers of the late Ron Scott. Clay Harris of Riverside received the Ron Scott Wrestler of Character Award.

The host Raiders finished 5-3 for fourth place in the nine-team field.

Final standings — 1. Harlan 8-0; 2. Riverside 7-1; 3. Shenandoah 6-2; 4. Mount Ayr 5-3; 5. Lathrop 4-4; 6. Penney 3-5; 6. Durant 2-6; 7. C.B. St. Albert 1-7; 8. Martensdale-St. Marys 0-8.
