Kellerton teen charged with attempted murder
Chance Newton, 16, of Kellerton was charged 9 a.m. Tuesday with two counts of attempted murder.
According to a Iowa Department of Public Safety report, Ringgold County law enforcement received a report of a stolen Ford Monday.
At approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday, a Ringgold County Sheriff’s deputy located the stolen vehicle. While attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver, identified as Newton, led the deputy on a short pursuit and evaded the deputy.
