Bedford 59, Corning 31

BEDFORD — Bedford pulled away in the fourth quarter thanks to a 23-3 run, defeating Corning 59-31 here on Tuesday.

Keegan Longabaugh recorded a double-double, scoring 13 points with 12 rebounds. Nick Spring added eight points with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Lance Swartz scored five points with nine rebounds.

Bryan Pearson scored three points and Lane Peterson added two points.

“We played really hard, especially in the first three quarters,” head coach Pete Nett said. “We rebounded the ball on both ends, and really committed ourselves to hustling on defense. The final score is not an indication of how close the game was. I was really pleased with our determination to play our style of ball tonight.”

Mount Ayr 67,

East Union 34

AFTON — Mount Ayr broke the game open with a 22-7 run in the third quarter, as the Raiders defeated East Union 67-34 here on Tuesday.

Braydee Poore led the Raiders with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go with eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks. John Triggs added 14 points with five rebounds. Jake Still was the only other player in double figures for Mount Ayr, scoring 12 points with eight boards and seven assists. Jack Jones added nine points.

Trevor Barnett led East Union with 10 points to go with six rebounds, while Sean Schmitz and Dustin Hoyt each scored eight points. Hoyt added six rebounds. Jesse Akers scored four points with seven rebounds. Grant Hall grabbed seven boards to go with two points.

Paton-Churdan 54, Orient-Macks. 27

ORIENT — Paton-Churdan beat Orient-Macksburg 54-27 here on Tuesday.

Chantz Davidson led the Bulldogs with 14 points, while Jacob Caviness added four points. Jordan Thompson pitched in three points, as Jesse Johnson, Tyrell Stucker and James Sullivan each scored two points.
