Bree Meredith Whipps, 34, of Carlisle was charged noon Friday with driving while barred.
According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Super 8 Hotel in Creston. Upon arrival, officers spoke with hotel employees who pointed out a female exiting a car she was driving and identified her as Whipps. Officers spoke with Whipps about her activity. A check of Whipps' driver's license showed she was barred from driving and she was transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center.
Whipps is being held on $2,000 bond.
Brad Lee Lemon, 32, 704 W. Lucas St., was charged 9:15 a.m. Tuesday with possession of marijuana.
According to a Creston Police report, officers served a search warrant Tuesday at Lemon's residence. At the residence, officers located Lemon and found him to be in possession of marijuana.
Lemon was released on $1,000 bond.
Virginia Jean Keasy, 38, and Michael David Johns, 35, both of 701 W. Jefferson St., Apt. 1, were charged 3:30 p.m. Tuesday with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of a precursor to manufacture methamphetamine.
According to a Creston Police report, state narcotics agents and Creston Police officers had probable cause, resulting from a narcotics investigation to believe Keasy and Johns conspired with others to manufacture methamphetamine. Pseudoephedrine purchase records indicated Keasy and Johns cooperated with others to obtain precursors used to manufacture methamphetamine with another person. Witness statements and evidence seized from that person's residence corroborate Keasy and Johns' statements and show more than 5 grams of methamphetamine were manufactured.
Keasy and Johns are both being held on $100,000 bond.
