Adair County Youth Action Committee organizes

GREENFIELD — Jim Williams of Greenfield was re-elected as chairman of the Adair County Youth Action Committee during its January meeting. Matt Rohrig of Orient was selected to serve vice chairman, and McKenzie Wallace of Menlo was elected as secretary.

The group made up of adults and youths is appointed by Adair County Extension Council to oversee the 4-H and youth program. Their responsibilities include setting policy, guiding programming, ensuring youth and adult volunteer recognition and fundraising.

Other members include: Joceline Holliday, Bethany Kintigh and Mark Ruby, all of Greenfield; Becky Dreher of Adair; H. A. Gross of Stuart; Sondra Baudler and Bart Mostaert, both of Fontanelle; Beth and McKenna Davenport of Adair; and Matt Evans of Bridgewater.

The group will be working to finalize plans for the 4-H and FFA division at the 2013 Adair County Fair scheduled for July 17 through 21 at their next meeting 6 p.m. March 7 at Adair County Extension. All meetings of the group are open to the public.
