MURRAY — Diagonal advanced to the semifinals of the Bluegrass Conference Tournament with a 43-41 win over Twin Cedars here on Tuesday.

Shad Haidsiak led the Maroons with 13 points, adding five rebounds and four assists. Blake Butler and Ryan Parrott each added eight points, and Parrott grabbed a team-high 18 rebounds.

Heath Evans netted seven opints with 11 rebounds, while freshman Jacob Taylor scored seven points with 11 rebounds, seven assists, six steals and three blocks.

Corning 25

CORNING — Martensdale-St. Marys pulled away early in a 68-25 win over Corning here on Thursday.

Keegan Longabaugh led the Red Raiders with nine points and 10 rebounds to go with four assists, while Lance Swartz and Nick Spring each scored six points. Spring added five rebounds.

“We pounded the ball inside and got some good looks early, but we kind of lost our way offensively as the game went on,” head coach Pete Nett said. “We ended the night with only four offensive rebounds, and that was a way we should have been able to do some damage tonight.”
