An inconvenient fact

Tuesday, January 22, 2013 (today) is the 40th anniversary of one of the darkest days in the history of our republic. On that day, the United States Supreme Court declared that children not yet born may be inconvenient and may be disposed of, with no consequences.

Since that day, more than 50,000,000 children have been considered inconvenient in the United States of America, land of the free and the home of the brave. The current rate is 3,000 per day. In the time it takes you to read this, another four inconvenient children will lose their lives.

Soon, the elderly will become inconvenient. Will they be the next victims?

Soon, those born with “defects” will be considered inconvenient. Will they also become victims?

We rightly recoil with horror when children are murdered in schools. Where is the moral outrage when the inconvenient are treated the same? We have lost our moral compass! Pray that God will lead us to once again proclaim: ”all men are created equal…endowed with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life…”
