CORYDON – Big efforts out of several players along with strong defense led Mount Ayr to a road win over Wayne here on Friday, 42-28.

Taylor Still finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, three steals and three assists to lead the way for the Raiderettes. Paige Daughton also scored in double figures with 10 points, and added nine rebounds with four assists and three steals.

Caitlin Giles scored eight points with 12 rebounds. Ashton Johnston scored five points with four rebounds and Emily Fox added four points. Brook Rychnovsky collected four steals in the win.

“We played great defense!” head coach Thad Streit said. “Our defense was fantastic. This was a great road win. Wayne is a pretty good team.”
