BEDFORD — The Creston freshman girls picked up a road victory at Bedford Monday, 27-21, improving to 8-5 for the season.

The Panthers opened up an early 8-2 lead, but turnovers allowed Bedford to take a two-point halftime lead. After three periods, the Panthers were back in front, 19-17.

“We struggled at the end of the game at the free throw line, but we were able to make enough to get the victory,” said coach Mendy McCreight. “Overall it was a good defensive game for us.”
