Creston man, still at large, stabs woman in chest Wednesday morning
William Michael Bird, 20, of Creston allegedly stabbed a female victim 2:15 a.m. this morning and is still at large. Bird is described as a white male, 5' 9" tall and 189 pounds.
According to a Creston Police report, Bird chased the victim to a neighbor's house, eventually catching her. Bird stabbed the victim in the chest and fled the scene. Police and EMS were called and the victim was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center.
Bird has three warrants for his arrest on charges of attempted murder, first-degree burglary and domestic assault by strangulation.
