Lenox 68,

East Union 42

LENOX — A pair of double-doubles, and another player just missing a double-double helped lead Lenox to a 68-42 win over East Union here on Tuesday.

Caleb Lange led the Tigers with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Mason Peterson recorded 16 points and 10 assists, in addition to five steals. Freshman Spencer Brown just missed a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Lenox built an early lead, but East Union cut that lead to 10 points midway through the third quarter before untimely turnovers allowed Lenox to build the lead back up to 20 points.

“We started well, built a lead, and played a solid game,” Lenox co-head coach Karl Peterson said. “We gave good effort on both ends and passed the ball very well. Lange and Peterson earn another double-double and another five scoring gave us good balance.”

Todd Stoaks added nine points and Frank Martinez scored seven, while Dustin Gordon and Frank Hoffman each added three points for the Tigers.

Dustin Hoyt led East Union with 17 points and seven rebounds. Cole Campbell added nine points and Grant Hall scored seven for the Eagles.

“After playing a very good game against Pleasantville last Friday, it was a very disappointing performance for both the players and the coaches,” East Union head coach Craig Ditzler said.
