SWCC women

MARSHALLTOWN — The Southwestern women made a run at breaking into the victory column Wednesday, falling 62-52 at Marshalltown.

The Spartans (0-19 overall, 0-6 conference) trailed 31-19 at halftime and cut the margin to two points with four minutes left. It was close as six with 51 seconds left. Marshalltown improved to 7-11 and 2-4.
