Turnovers plague Panther girls after close 1st quarter

DENISON — After a 10-8 first quarter, the Denison-Schleswig girls pulled away from Creston with a 15-4 second quarter on the way to a 52-32 victory Friday night.

Creston ended up with 13 more turnovers (33 to 20) and subsequently 16 fewer shot attempts (48 to 32) in the 20-point defeat. The Lady Monarchs also outscored the Panthers 9-3 from 3-point range.

The one highlight for Creston was at the free throw line, going 11-of-12 with attempts from six different players.
