Emergency personnel worked to extract Shannon Kaye Claiser, 28, of Corning out of an overturned vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:29 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 34 near Burr Oak Road. According to a Union County Sheriff report, Claiser, driving a 2002 Pontiac east on Highway 34, lost control of her vehicle because of icy road conditions. Claiser's vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the north ditch where it rolled and came to a rest on its top.

Claiser was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Medical Center where her condition is unavailable. Damage estimate to Claiser's vehicle is $2,500.
