Accident

No citations were issued after an accident 6:32 p.m. Jan. 15.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Samantha College, 14, of Greenfield, driving a 1999 Chevrolet north on Lakeview Drive, stopped at a stop sign on Lakeview Drive at Highway 92 before proceeding into the intersection. As College's vehicle entered the intersection to continue north, her vehicle was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Donald Shannon, 76, of Greenfield. After the vehicles collided, College's vehicle came to a rest upright on the south shoulder of Highway 92 and Shannon's vehicle came to a rest upright in the north ditch of Highway 92. College and her passenger Debra College, 46, were transported by Adair Rescue to Adair County Hospital.
