Virgil Findley – Mount Ayr

Ganum Virgil Findley, 86, of Mount Ayr died Jan. 26, 2013, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. A prayer service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Terry Roberts will officiate. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter. Military rites will be conducted by IA ARNG Honor Guard and Carlisle V.F.W. Post No. 2099. Open visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Visitation with family present will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established to Mount Ayr Public Library and American Legion Ringgold Post No. 172 in Mount Ayr.
