No citations were issued after an accident 3:35 p.m. Thursday at Harsh and Chestnut streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Kala Ann Hendricks, 24, 506 N. Elm St., and Roger Eugene Jensen, 64, 507 N. Chestnut St., collided at the uncontrolled intersection. Hendricks was driving a 2008 Chevrolet west on Harsh Street and Jensen was driving a 1997 Chevrolet south on Chestnut Street when they were unable to stop because of snow covered roads.

Damage estimates are $1,500 to Hendricks vehicle and $1,500 to Jensen's vehicle.


Stephanie Jean Reinhart, 25, 112 N. Maple St., was cited for driving without insurance after an accident 11:59 a.m. Friday on North Cedar Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Reinhart and another Bunn-O-Matic employee returned to work from lunch break in two separate vehicles. As Andrea Blaine Ford, 26, 305 N. Spruce St., attempted to turn her 1999 Mercury into the employee parking lot, Reinhart, driving behind Reinhart in a 1999 Jeep was unable to stop because of ice on the road causing the vehicles to collide.

Damage estimates are $150 to Reinhart's vehicle and $1,700 to Ford's vehicle.


No citations were issued after an accident 4:50 p.m. Thursday on Taylor and South Elm Streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Hannah Reann Hagle, 16, 1006 N. Maple St., driving a 2004 Pontiac east on Taylor Street stopped to make a left turn on to Elm Street. Hagle stated a car traveling west was also going to turn left, but waived at her, signaling for Hagle to turn. Hagle stated she slowly entered the intersection and did not see any cars coming and her vehicle was struck in the passenger side door by a 2005 Volkswagen driven by Stacy Allen Matney, 49, of Villisca. Matney provided his phone number to Hagle and had someone pick him up, leaving the scene. The officer was unable to make contact with Matney, but spoke with and received insurance information from the registered owner.
