Alissa Jill Jennings, , 41, 613 N. Elm St., was charged 2:40 p.m. Friday on a Union County warrant for child endangerment.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Jennings' residence 7:30 p.m. Jan. 1. Upon arrival, officers observed a minor banging on an exterior door of the residence. Officers located Jennings, the minor's parent, inside the residence. Jennings advised an argument occurred between her and her child. When the minor went for a walk around the block to calm down, Jennings locked him out of the house and refused to allow him back in. Because of the cold weather conditions, officers contacted the Department of Human Services to assist in obtaining emergency placement for the child. Based upon observations of the responding officers, they formed the opinion Jennings was intoxicated.

Jennings was released on $2,000 bond.
