Audit: Adair County employees take scrap metal funds

Two employees in Adair County improperly deposited money from the sale of scrap metal into their personal accounts, according to a state audit released Friday. The report shows a local salvage vendor purchased scrap metal belonging to the Adair County Engineer's office and issued more than $19,300 in checks directly to Road Superintendent Duane Jameson and Shop Clerk Cindy Butcher.
