Creston’s Shiltz in Iowa-Nebraska champions meet

Chase Shiltz

IOWA CITY — Creston eighth-grader Chase Shiltz will be the 140-pound representative on the Iowa team taking on Nebraska in the “Combine Clash” Sunday at Carver Hawkeye Arena.

He is the son of John and Dorie Shiltz of Creston.

All 18 participants on each team are state champions in the middle school division. Brent Jennings, Osage High School coach, is the Iowa head coach. He is assisted by Sibley-Ocheyedan coach Doyle Naig.

The event, with 18 weight classes ranging rom 70 pounds to 265 pounds, will begin at 11 a.m., prior to the Iowa vs. Nebraska dual at 2 p.m.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Those attending much have a ticket to the college dual for admittance. To purchase tickets, contact the University of Iowa Ticket Office online, or call 1-800-424-2957.
