Gary W. Hinshaw, 73, born August 28, 1939 in Lenox, IA to Loren & Ethel [Lane] Hinshaw. Gary passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona.

His loving wife of 24 years, Cathy and their daughter Taylor were by his side.

Gary is survived by his Brother Terry Perdew, Creston, IA, Sister(in-law) Kim Nickerson & brother(in-law) Joe Skitz; 5 children from a prior marriage & 5 grandchildren, as well as his sister Faye Jean Hinshaw.

Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved & enjoyed his family & friends, along with restoring his 1974 Ford pickup, old western movies, reading Louis L’Amour books, NASCAR Racing, collecting John Deere tractors, his ride along dogs, country music, fishing & gardening; he had the best tomatoes in Arizona. Gary’s life was also surrounded by many loving extended family & friends. He was & always will be a loving husband, father & friend. His kindness was immeasurable & his hugs were fantastic. He gave real meaning to being a “True Friend”

A Memorial Service to “Celebrate Gary’s Life” was held February 9, 2013 at Church of Scientology-Chapel in Phoenix, AZ.
