Let’s see if I am understanding correctly. The infrastructure within the city is deteriorating, needed repairs have been put off time and time again. We now have garbage pickup on city streets, breaking them down at a faster rate. We could have been still maintaining alleys, but the cost savings in the short term was more beneficial. Someday we will have to figure out how to pay for the long term.
Our city leaders are playing real estate developer with taxpayer dollars. Win-win situation here as the folks making the decisions have no investment. Then to make this development project even better, we buy a house, at fair market value, with taxpayer dollars, another win-win, just to tear it down to make room for the plans.
Everything seems to be coming together very nicely. The downtown, uptown, whatever you wish to call it, is slowly but surely deteriorating, why we can’t even have stop lights? But we have funds to buy real estate and make grand plans with it. Yup, can see it all coming together now. Well done folks.
