Big second half lifts Wolverines
GREENFIELD — Nodaway Valley rallied from a 12-8 halftime deficit in a slow-developing game to defeat Van Meter 35-26 in a Class 2A Region 7 quarterfinal game Tuesday night.
Nodaway Valley had a 27-14 advantage in the final two periods.
“Defense was the key to the win tonight,” head coach Tom Thompson said. “Nodaway Valley struggled to score in the first half, but was much more aggressive going to the basket in the second half.”
