It’s all about speed.

And, U.S. Cellular customers in Creston will now have that speed. U.S. Cellular announced this week Creston is one of the locations receiving high-speed 4G services by the end of 2013. Customers will have speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G and similar to a cable Internet connection.

“We’re continuously improving our customer experience, so we’re excited to offer 4G speeds to additional customers in Iowa by the end of 2013,” said Don Cochran, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Iowa. “4G speeds, along with our growing lineup of 4G devices, will make customers’ lives simpler and easier with quick access to important information and entertainment on their devices.”

Creston, along with Atlantic, Carroll, Centerville, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer, Spirit Lake and Storm Lake are set to receive 4G in 2013.

By the end of 2013, U.S. Cellular customers in more than 3,800 additional cities and towns will have access to 4G speeds. Currently, 61 percent of U.S. Cellular customers have access to 4G speeds and 87 percent are expected to be covered by the end of the year.
