As new business, Loomis reminded the group the first meeting in March is the day for election of new officers. A low fat, low carb, but lots of taste potluck dinner will be held that same evening.

There was correspondence shared by Loomis from Barbara Bratton.

Neoma Davis received state recognition for having submitted a perfect weight resume for the Creston chapter. Thompson also was recognized for first place in Division Three for her weight loss.

Squares was won by Alice Brown. Fines were won by Rohrig.

Loomis gave a brief presentation on daikon.

The Red Can Challenge was to eat only fruits or vegetables for snacks this week. The meeting was dismissed with the closing TOPS pledge.

TOPS 1338 met 5 p.m. Monday for its usual Monday night meeting. Eight members weighed in with Loomis as the best loser and Rohrig as runner-up. There was a total net loss of 12 1/4 pounds. The meeting opened with the TOPS pledge. Minutes were read by Marisue Lewis. Fines went to the treasury, and squares went to Loomis.

The bean contest continues.

The Red Can Challenge is to eliminate bakery items for five days except whole-wheat or whole-grain products.

The program was taken from “Mental Floss.” Loomis read an article called “Kind of Corny Story” discussing corned beef.

Next week’s program will be given by Rohrig.

The TOPS pledge was repeated, and the meeting closed at 5:45 p.m.

Anyone intrested in weight loss or encouragement in weight toss is invited to attend meetings 5 p.m. Mondays at the Methodist Church basement.
