The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday it has moved the site of the Creston vs. Atlantic boys district final basketball game from Nodaway Valley High School to ADM High School in Adel on Thursday because of concerns regarding crowd capacity.
Nodaway Valley’s gym holds 1,000 fans, compared to 1,800 fans in the ADM gym. An estimated 1,500 fans attended the Creston vs. Atlantic game in Atlantic on Feb. 8 for a game which decided the Hawkeye 10 Conference championship.
Game time is still scheduled for 7 p.m.

DES MOINES — The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau and Des Moines Area Sports Commission announced the winners of the 2012 Central Iowa Sports Awards on Tuesday.
Murray senior Austin Halls won the High School Male Athlete of the Year Award.
The organization plans to present the award to Halls at Murray High School.
WAUKEE — Robert Decklever, 66, of Waukee died Tuesday of cancer at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Decklever was Creston’s first wrestling state placewinner. The 1965 CHS graduate placed fourth as a junior and qualified for state as a senior.
Bob started teaching and coaching in Red Oak before opening a furniture store in Creston. He joined his brother Bill’s company, Marketing Force, in Chicago in 1985 and transferred to the headquarters in Rochester Hills, Mich. in 1988. He moved back to Iowa in 2007 and resided in Waukee.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waukee. Burial is at the Saint Peter Cemetery in Toeterville. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 900 Warrior Lane, PO Box 276, Waukee, Iowa 50263.
