Site change

The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced Tuesday it has moved the site of the Creston vs. Atlantic boys district final basketball game from Nodaway Valley High School to ADM High School in Adel on Thursday because of concerns regarding crowd capacity.

Nodaway Valley’s gym holds 1,000 fans, compared to 1,800 fans in the ADM gym. An estimated 1,500 fans attended the Creston vs. Atlantic game in Atlantic on Feb. 8 for a game which decided the Hawkeye 10 Conference championship.

Game time is still scheduled for 7 p.m.

With the possibility of inclement weather on Thursday, the state is looking at Friday as a potential day to make up a game postponed by weather. For the latest updates on the game’s status, check www.crestonnews.com or facebook.com/www.crestonnews.com.
