Michael Woosley, 71, of Council Bluffs died Feb. 22, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to American Legion Rainbow Post No. 2 or Ascera Care Hospice.
Michael Thomas Woosley, son of DeLoris (Wynn) and Orville Woosley, was born June 13, 1941, in Iowa City.
Michael grew up in Creston and graduated from Creston High School in 1959.
On Nov. 4, 1961, Michael married Karen Elaine Henrich in Creston.
Together they lived in Creston while he worked for Center Milk Company and at a propane gas company.
The family moved to Council Bluffs, and Michael started selling insurance.
After a few years, the family moved to Red Oak, and he continued selling insurance.
In 1991, they moved to Council Bluffs, and he began selling advertising.
Michael and Karen traveled across the Midwest selling advertising until he retired in 2005.
Michael is survived by his wife Karen; children, Michael (wife Sharon) Todd of Council Bluffs, Roxanne Renee (husband Steve) Droste of Waterloo and Monte (wife Erin) Wayne of Omaha, Neb.; and grandsons, Tyler Wayne Droste of Waterloo and Zachary Michael and Grant Nathan Woosley, both of Omaha, Neb.
