Rahim Mohammad Koshdel, 22, of Des Moines was charged 2 p.m. Friday at 107½ N. Maple St. on a Polk County warrant and for serious assault.

According to a Creston Police report, officers responded to a 911 call involving a fight and physical altercation that was in progress at 107½ N. Maple St. Upon arrival the complaintant met with officers and had visible injuries. According to the complaintant and witnesses, Koshdel entered a hallway and repeatedly struck the complaintant without cause or justification.

Koshdel was released on $1,000 bond.
