Have a few laughs with friends Saturday night.
Creston Park and Recreation will host “A Night of Comedy,” including a social hour, meal and show featuring two comedians.
The social hour will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a meal of prime rib prepared by Doug Jones with Ringgold County Cattleman’s Association. After the meal, Doug Stone and the Round Guy will give their performances.
The show will fund Creston Park and Recreation.
“It’s basically a fundraiser for the parks department,” said Gary Borcherding, Creston Park and Recreation secretary. “The money will just go to our summer projects.”
The comedy show will be Saturday at the Eagles Club, 300 E. Montgomery St. Tickets are $25 and available at Eagles Club, Hy-Vee, Stalker Chevrolet, Side Tracked and the Creston News Advertiser office. They are also available from Creston Park and Recreation boardmembers or at the door.
“It’s something different, and it’s the time of year when there’s not a lot going on. ... (It’s) not offered around this area,” said Borcherding. “Hopefully we can make it an annual event.”
