Four-time state champion Jake Marlin and 2013 champion Keaton Hulett, a two-time finalist, shared top honors at the Creston/Orient-Macksburg wrestling banquet Sunday night at Creston High School.

Marlin and Hulett shared the 2013 Mike Abel Outstanding Wrestler Award. Marlin shared the 2012 award with senior heavyweight state champion Collin Bevins.

Marlin and Hulett were just two of several wrestlers earning awards and earning spots on all-time rankings lists in the program’s history, from a team that went 16-3 in duals (13-1 regular season), placed sixth in the state dual tournament and fifth in the traditional state tournament. It was the team’s fourth straight appearance in state duals.
