Pauline Hansen Creston

Pauline E. Holland Hansen, 94, of Creston died March 1, 2013, at Trinity Terrace Park Medical Center in Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Creston. Burial will be in Redding Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to First Christian Church Disciples of Christ or VFW Post No. 1797. Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Pauline E. Holland Hansen, daughter of Zula (Rinehart) and Charles Elmer Fletchall, was born May 16, 1918, in Worth County, Mo.

On Feb. 4, 1939, Pauline married Hubert Holland in Maryville, Mo. He preceded her in death June 15, 1978.

Pauline and her husband Hubert owned and operated Redding Café and later Holland Café until 1951. She went on to work at HyVee in Leon and JC Penny in Perry and Creston, but mainly took care of her family.

In November 1981, Pauline married Jule Hansen in Creston. Jule preceded her in death in 2010.

Pauline was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, VFW 1797 Women’s Auxiliary and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Creston.

Pauline is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Arlen) Beck of Davenport; son Larry (Mila) Holland of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; stepchildren, Randy, Gary and Ivan Hansen; grandchildren, Piper Baker of Eldridge, Trina (Noal) Arnold of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Mike Holland of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; great-grandchildren, Kaci, Keegan, Kalahan and Kennedy Baker and Taiden and Kyleigh Arnold; numerous step-grandchildren and -great-grandchildren; sister Vaughn Albrecht of California; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addion to her husbands, Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; son Charles Samuel Holland; sister Madeline Ulrich and brother Max Fletchall.
