Veda McCarty, 79, of Prescott died March 3, 2013, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, after a battle with leukemia.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at the United Church of Christ in Prescott. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Prescott. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. today with family present 5 to 7 p.m. at Roland-Ritchie Funeral Home, 905 Benton Ave., Corning. Memorials may be directed to the family.
