Accident
No citations were issued after an accident 10:10 a.m. Monday on Dogwood Avenue and 170th Street.
According to a Union County Sheriff Report, Steven W. McNichols, 61, 504 S. Park St., was driving a 1999 Chevrolet south on Dogwood, was unable to stop at the intersection because of road conditions and struck the passenger side of a 2012 Chevrolet driven west on 170th Street by Greg R. Buxton, 54, 1083 160th St.
Damage estimates are $3,500 to McNichols’ vehicle and $3,000 to Buxton’s vehicle.
