LAMONI — Graceland University head football coach Jeff Douglas continues to recruit heavily in the local Iowa area and is pleased to announce the signing of Murray native, Edward ‘Eddie’ Otto.

Otto, a 6’1” linebacker, comes to Graceland by way of Murray High School. During his time as a Mustang, Otto received many accolades as an all-district and all-state linebacker for his outstanding performance on the football field.

“Eddie is an all-state linebacker and is very athletic,” said Douglas. “Eddie is very versatile. He is a great athlete and has been an all-conference basketball player as well as baseball player.

“He is a very good player from one of our local schools and we are very happy he picked GU.”

Aside from football, Otto has participated in boys’ basketball and baseball. Eddie has also been exceptional student in the classroom, making his way on the honor roll.

Otto, the son of Ed and Kari, will major in Athletic Training and minor in Health during his time as a Yellowjacket.
