Christopher Scott Keller, 21, 604 S. Maple St., was charged 11:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Russell Street on a Union County warrant for operating while intoxicated.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to Greater Regional Medical Center in regard to an accident. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with Keller, who stated he had just been in an accident. While speaking with Keller, the officer noticed Keller’s speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and watery, and an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming was from Keller. Keller admitted to driving the vehicle and consuming alcohol that night. Mr. Keller consented to a sample of his blood being taken, which showed a blood alcohol level of .099 confirming he was impaired by alcohol and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Keller was released on $1,000 bond.
