Daniel Paul Clark, 25, 1001 N. Elm St., was charged 10:30 a.m. Sunday at his residence with child endangerment and domestic abuse assault.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to the residence of a female victim on a report of a domestic assault. The victim indicated she had been struck with a closed fist numerous times by the father of her child and was holding the child while Clark struck her repeatedly in the side of her torso. Officers observed red marks on the victim’s skin, which were consistent with her statements and photographed.

Clark was released on $2,000 bond.
