Lowell L. Weland, 78, of Maryville, Mo., formerly of Elmo, Mo., died March 18, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Maryville, Mo.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, at Elmo Methodist Church in Elmo, Mo. Burial will be in Lamar Cemetery in Elmo, Mo. Visitation with family present will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home in Maryville, Mo. Lowell L. Weland, son of Verlie (Ecker) and Lawrence G. Weland, was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Elmo, Mo.
Lowell graduated from Elmo High School and lived most of his life in the area.
On Sept. 16, 1956, Lowell married Liva R. Graham, in Elmo, Mo.
Lowell was a banker and insurance agent in Elmo, Mo., all his life. He worked for Farmers Merchants Bank (now CB&T) and was an agent for Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Maryville, Mo.
Lowell attended Elmo Methodist Church. He was also in the Missouri National Guard in Maryville, Mo.
Lowell is survived by his wife Liva R. Graham of Maryville, Mo.; daughters, Brenda (Ron) Howard of Clearmont, Mo., and Teresa Weland of Clarinda; son Lynn (Jana) Weland of Creston; brothers, Rex (Judy) Weland and Charles (Karen) Weland, all of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Wes (Delores) Weland of Belton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; son Alan Weland in 2004; and brother Dean Weland in 1993.
