Larry Dean Vanderpluym, 51, 1103 N. Birch St., was charged 5:25 p.m. Sunday on a Union County warrant for domestic abuse assault.

According to a Creston Police report, Vanderpluym yelled threats of physical violence and made several attempts to run a vehicle off the roadway, in which his wife was a passenger. The act was done intentionally, intended to cause his wife to fear for her life and observed by several witnesses.

Vanderpluym was released on $300 bond.
