NJCAA quarterfinal

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Northwest Florida State College, coached by former SWCC men’s coach Steve Forbes, rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half to force overtime and defeat sixth-seeded New Mexico Junior College, 88-87, Tuesday at the NJCAA Tournament.

The Raiders went on a 23-3 run to force overtime after trailing 72-52 with 4:35 remaining in the game. The win sets up a quarterfinal meeting at noon today with No. 1 seeded Iowa Western Community College of Councl Bluffs.
