Three Panthers in SWI Classic games Sunday

COUNCIL BLUFFS — One more chance to see southwest Iowa’s best senior basketball players is coming on Sunday.

Iowa Western Community College and The Daily Nonpareil are co-sponsoring SWI Classic XVII at Iowa Western’s Kanesville Arena on Sunday, beginning with the girls game at 1 p.m., followed by the boys game at around 3 p.m.

Three Creston players are involved on the Large School squads. Brianna Maitlen is on the Large School girls team, while Briar Evans and Colby Taylor represent the Panthers on the Large School boys squad.

Both games will be large schools vs. small schools.
